And the winner is...... plus the Liebster Blog Award!

Last Sunday I began my Rafflecopter Daylight Savings Giveaway and today I am back to announce the winner of this great little prize!

Thank you all for entering!!!

Now onto the next exciting thing I could not wait to share!

Liebster Blog Award

After having one of those weeks where you have been fearing your principal may hang up your picture and throw darts at it, because of all of your silly little problems, I opened my email one last time before heading to bed and found a comment on my blog from Leslie at Fashionable in First.  I was so excited, mainly for the comment, but then to see she had nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award.  I was pretty sure that the only people that have read my blog were my friends but I guess I was wrong!

The Liebster Award is presented to upcoming blog authors with less than 200 followers. Liebster is a German word meaning sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, welcoming, valued, cute, and beloved! Leslie is right, Who wouldn't want to be named any/all of those things!?

So she asked me these questions & here are my answers!

1. Who is your hero?
My hero is my mom.  She is pretty much like a saint, raising 3 kids on her own and we all turned out to be normal!  She did an amazing job and I wouldn't be the person I am today without her.
2. You are a zoo animal.  What are you?
This is hard because I feel like I would be a couple of different animals based on the day of the week.  So today, I would be a penguin. I love black and white, they look good on and they go at their own pace.  They have the ability to walk (or waddle) and swim which I love to do as well.
3. Who is your favorite children's book author?
Margaret Wise Brown, the author of Good Night Moon and The Run Away Bunny
4. When did you realize you wanted to be a teacher?
The day I followed the little yellow smiley faces down the hall to my Kindergarten Classroom.  Mrs. Buckley was amazing and the reason I became a teacher.
5. Fast forward ten years. You run into a former student. What do you hope he/she remembers about you? I hope that they would remember me as kind and compassionate towards other students.
6. The afternoon bell has rung. What do you most look forward to doing after a long day at work?  Getting into a quiet car, windows down, and driving the back roads home, mainly if it is nice weather, of course!
7. What is the next goal you have set for yourself? (Personal or professional)  I am just about to embark on another Masters Program to become a Reading Specialist which I am super pumped about.
8. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you in your classroom?  I have spilled an entire Nalgene bottle of water all of over me, the carpet, and student papers. Don't even ask!
9. What is your guilty pleasure? Don't think too long on this one! First thing that comes to mind...go! Anthropologie.
10. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Finishing college in 3.5 years!
11. Who is your celebrity crush? (Totally went "high school style" with this one!) I loved THE Justin Timberlake in High School.

These are my nominees for the Leibster Award
should you choose to accept see my questions below!

This sweet girl probably has well over this many followers but she is awesome!

Ok and I am stinking it up and actually need two more!                        I will be back soon with two more!

Until then, I am so excited that I have met my bum ankle, 1st grade teaching, Steeler loving friend through this little award!
